A journey of mini retreats...

Will and I went to worship at First Presbyterian Church Texas City, TX yesterday. The Church building it self was wonderful. We were pleasantly surprised that one of my new friends Mary Currie was preaching. She is a good preacher who kept the congregation laughing and fed us a spiritual lesson on Character, Perseverance and Hope. I needed to hear that sermon precisely yesterday. In all of this 9 months time I am free from any obligation we have been visiting and worshipping at different churches. It has been a treat. I realized at the end of yesterday that this have been a journey like series of mini retreats. What a great blessing it has been. Not only Mary, but also the congregation that gathered was very kind and friendly to us. We came away feeling refreshed - but hungry for it was about 12:00. We stopped at Pier 8 in Kemah for "You Buy We Fry" lunch. The picture above is the left over of what Will ate. I ate a fried Tilapia (eaten way before picture was taken). We sat there at Pier 8 having such a lovely time enjoying the view of the water in the Bay and each other's company not to mention the sea food. I thank God for leading me to Pier 8 since we first moved here. God is good, all the time. By the way, I highly recommend that Y'LL go to Pier 8 not only to eat what they fry for you but to buy seafood. They have really fresh/good seafood. Their friendly nature and hospitality make all their seafood taste sweeter too. Honest! We bought 5 pounds of Jumbo Shrimp, 4 Tilapia filets and 6 Salmon Steaks for future cooking at home. Did I say God is good, all the time! He is in deed!!!
