4th Sunday of Advent

This is the 4th Sunday of Advent and we light the last purple candle called candle of love and remember how much God loves us.   
God's love for will be celebrated all across the world as we celebrate the birth of Jesus, God's only son - in a few days.  
On the day of Christmas I hope we will all remember to say thanks to God for his most generous gift of love in Jesus.

Candle of Joy- Third Sunday of Advent

Today is the third sunday of Advent and we light athe pink or candle of joy. We continue to prepare ourselves and our homes for the coming of Chirst child. The joy of Christmas is almost here. 

The scripture for the day is Isaiah 35:1-10.

Peace candle-second Sunday of Advent

Today is the second Sunday of Advent and we light the second purple candle called "candle of Peace."  We celebrate Jesus Christ as our prince of peace who is coming to make peace on earth between God and human kind.  We continue to remember the green wreath or Christmas wreath that holds the 3 purple candles, 1 pink candle and 1 white candle reminds us that God's love is always there for us even when we are not aware of it.  We continue to prepare for the arrival of baby Jesus.

Yes, the first purple candle we lit last Sunday was called candle of "Hope" and we remember Jesus is our Hope and Salvation.
