Independence Day for the U.S.

It is today. July 4th. I thank God for the freedom I am enjoying living here. I thank God for those who fought for this very freedom and given their lives. I thanked God for those that led them, and for their families. Freedom is not to be taken lightly or for granted. It is costly. Some times I fee sad seeing how many americans seem to think freedom is a free gift. But today I am giving thanks to God those who had given their lives for it. I thank God for those who are working to keep it, providing us freedom. In the evening Joshua and I went over to one of his friends Chris Westerlund's who have invited to their home for a picnic and boat ride and fireworks. It was very nice and beautiful. I had a good time. Life is good when you can be with friends. It is a terrible painful thing when you can not be with friends. Thank you Lord for this gift of freedom. May we all understand and be grateful for this great gift of yours. In Jesus name. Amen.
