We had an outing dinner with a couple of new friends Don and Barb Edie yesterday. We ate at a restaurant looking out at the water eating seafood, drinking wine and chattering about life in general. All the while I was thinking, how great is our God that even as we move to new parts of the country out of necessity and we are growing older - He continues to give us new friends, still.
Old friends are wonderful, you pick up where you left off with them. You remember stories of old times with them.
Yet, it is exciting to get to meet new people, learning who they are, where they have been in life, what they are all about is amazing gift. You find common and contrast of things in life with them. All of that is to say, life is good when blessed with new friends by God.
My prayer today:
Lamentation 3:22 "The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, his mercies never come to an end; 23 they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness."

Interesting to read about your iPhone - maybe you can instruct me on their use if I buy one. Also good to know you are authoring a cookbook. It's time that happened!
