Today my mind is blank from the start of the day for the whole day. I was not trying to empty/quiet it or any thing like that but it is simply empty/quiet on it's own. What a great gift! In my meditation it usually take me a good long trying time to empty/quiet my mind so that I may hear God's presence. I prayed and moved about the whole day without even reading the scriptures for the day till now. I cleaned my house, I cooked, I ate, I went to take a 2 hours long lesson on computer at the Apple store. My instructor was a very young respectful man by the name of Nathan. With a great deal of joy I learned so much from him this afternoonb.
It is even more amazing that the Gospel reading for today is where Jesus telling us "...whoever becomes humble like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heave". This is one of my father's favorite passages. As a lay preacher he preached on this passage often as an invitation and instruction on why we should be humble and welcoming.
Thank you God for his day of quiet mind and all the wonderful learnings I experienced from a young person. In Jesus' name. Amen.
Matthew 18:1-7
True Greatness
At that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, ‘Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?’ He called a child, whom he put among them, and said, ‘Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever becomes humble like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. Whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me.
Temptations to Sin
‘If any of you put a stumbling-block before one of these little ones who believe in me, it would be better for you if a great millstone were fastened around your neck and you were drowned in the depth of the sea. Woe to the world because of stumbling-blocks! Occasions for stumbling are bound to come, but woe to the one by whom the stumbling-block comes!
