A Very Happy New Year

Today is the 5th of January, 2013.  We ended 2012 with our hearts filled with gratitute to God, with new friends to share our last meal, with a wonderful champaign lunch New Year's Day lunch at Marlene's, with a New Year's Eve party at the house including children swimming in the pool having fun, and toasting the new year with a delicious Champaign.

I continue to love my new church, all the people in it and the work.

Kimkim, Ziri and I have had longtime pool times even in the nights.  It's been busy in the day and relaxing in the evening at home with Will and the girls.  We went shopping or walked the beach on my day off.  We watch movies at night and ate cheese cake as Ziri was happy to serve it to us.  We began each day with a chapter in the Psalms and a prayer over breakfast.

Kimkim had gone back to England 2 days ago and we miss her already.  Ziri will leave tomorrow back to Purdue University. We will miss her very much but we will see her again when school is out. We miss Joshua but are proud of him that he is working to earn $$ for his new car.  It's been a real happy blessed year so far.

Tomorrow is Epiphany day.  It actually falls on a Sunday this year and I am so excited.  I love that Christmas is not a day but a season.  Waiting 12 days for the arrival of the wise men come to worship the baby Jesus at the manger is very happy a journey for me.  It has been a bit of a meditative and a bit of a spiritual journey.  And I will be installed as an Associate Pastor of Congregational Care at Church of the Plams on Sunday the 13th.

I sit in my chair looking out to the pool and the lake beyond the pool.  I feel well blessed by God and I give thanks to God.
