Holy Week: Monday

That was yesterday.  As I could not quiet down let alone empty mysefl in prayers and meditation during most part of this lent, I am determined to be quiet and empty my self during this Holy Week.  God was good and gave me an opportunity to lead a noon time prayer in the chapel each day this week.  Yesterday I was a bit noisy but much quieter than I was during the whole lenten journey.  I thank God for quieting me down even while I was silent.  We sung along with the Taize CD and we pray out loud as well as in voice. We read the criptures out lound.  A few people came to pray with me.  I thank God for the time to pray.

Salt and Light

13 ‘You are the salt of the earth; but if salt has lost its taste, how can its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything, but is thrown out and trampled under foot.
14 ‘You are the light of the world. A city built on a hill cannot be hidden.15No one after lighting a lamp puts it under the bushel basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all in the house. 16In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.
