Birthdays and the Children in my family of origin

Today Joshua Zirthang Puia, my odest nephew turned 19.  I give thanks to God for giving us such a gift in Joshua, for all the blessings God has given Joshua and all that God had done for him.  I lift up Joshua to God and ask God to continue to guide Joshua as he begins young adulthood.  I asked God to give Joshua the wisdome to seek for His guidence every day.  That's what we do in our family.  We pray for the children.  Joshua had a major jaw surgery so he can not have a cake on his birthday.  So, I am poting his picutre without a birthday cake.

July 1st was my youngest niece Sofi's birthday as well.  She turned 7 years old.  I thanked God for Sofi, for the surprised joy she had been to our family, for all the joy she brings us and I asked God to continue watching out for her and to bless her each day as needs Him.  Sofi is a reminder of how we don't know the future.  God gave Sofi to my sister and her husband after their first children (the twins) were 13.

Life is good.  God has been gracious and loving and kind to my family.  On this day, I give thanks to God whose love surrounds us at all times.
