It is my niece Sophie's 17th Birthday. Will went to work as it is his first day back to work. I called and talked with my sisters in Myanmar and Louisville. I sung "Happy Birthday" to Sophie. It was a very restful and relaxing day. I finished reading " My argument with the Gastapo by Thomas Merton." Hard reading it was. Whew! I am glad I finished it. Of course I always finish what I started. Now I can move on to other books. I went to the library fishing for a book to read. I brought out a few Children's sermon books and skimmed them. Especially the one by Dr. Sue Garrett and Amy Powell back from many years ago. I felt spiritually nourished. A good way to fill the emptiness cost by the absent of the grand children I love so much. Will came home at the end of the day. He was impressed to see the books I had on the table. No one came to demolish our cabinets etc today. A good quiet day anyhow. God is good. I am grateful.
