Quiet time with God in the morning. Some video chat with family in Yangoon, Myanmar. All are continueing to be better each day, by God's grace. I am so thnkful. My heart is filled with gladness.
Today, we read the 116th Psalm.
Read verse 15. So fitting with the news we recived that one of our cousin Valzo died at our grand mother's villedge where he had lived. We Prayed for my aunt and the rest of her family.
Psalm 116
Thanksgiving for Recovery from Illness
1 I love the Lord, because he has heard
my voice and my supplications.
2 Because he inclined his ear to me,
therefore I will call on him as long as I live.
3 The snares of death encompassed me;
the pangs of Sheol laid hold on me;
I suffered distress and anguish.
4 Then I called on the name of the Lord:
‘O Lord, I pray, save my life!’
5 Gracious is the Lord, and righteous;
our God is merciful.
6 The Lord protects the simple;
when I was brought low, he saved me.
7 Return, O my soul, to your rest,
for the Lord has dealt bountifully with you.
8 For you have delivered my soul from death,
my eyes from tears,
my feet from stumbling.
9 I walk before the Lord
in the land of the living.
10 I kept my faith, even when I said,
‘I am greatly afflicted’;
11 I said in my consternation,
‘Everyone is a liar.
12 What shall I return to the Lord
for all his bounty to me?
13 I will lift up the cup of salvation
and call on the name of the Lord,
14 I will pay my vows to the Lord
in the presence of all his people.
15 Precious in the sight of the Lord
is the death of his faithful ones.
16 O Lord, I am your servant;
I am your servant, the child of your serving-maid.
You have loosed my bonds.
17 I will offer to you a thanksgiving sacrifice
and call on the name of the Lord.
18 I will pay my vows to the Lord
in the presence of all his people,
19 in the courts of the house of the Lord,
in your midst, O Jerusalem.
Praise the Lord!
In the afternoon, I had my firt ever meeting with a cardiologist. I am not feeling sick nor have any symptoms of heart problems. Being born with a heart murmur, I have always kept my heart in checked. As I am 60 years old now and our good doctor Dr. Sanders who takes such good check on overall health including my heart is no longer in practice, I think it's time to have a cardiologist. He ordered 2 kinds of tests as my GP Dr. Sanders did 3 years ago. I hope the results will be good as before. Will was told by the doctor, "Your heart is in good health and see you in 6 months."
We went on to the big mall for a walk about. It became tea time and I had double esspresso and Tiramisu for the first time in almost a year. So... very delicious. We walked. Piglet came. We shopped and walked. We all had dinner at the Cheese Cake Factory at 7:15 PM. Oh yes David came too. Then home. Some video chat with family in Myanmar. They were all doing better still and asking me about my doctor's visit. I love my family.
A cople of movies later, we went to bed. God is good. I am grateful.
