Quiet time with God. Devotion with Will after breakfast.
Mr. Xie came with his helper Alex. They put crown molding on the new cabinets. They worked most of the day that means after video chatting with my family in Myanmar, I read and listened to devotionals on youtube and Facebook. I read all about Delialah in the Bible. And of course I ended up reading about Samson again. I felt like a child at home all over again, remembering how the frist time I heard their storis was read to me by my fahter. Such a good meomory.
I prayed to God for inspiration. It came. I will write and record a devotional on " The Poor widow who gave all she had to the temple." I read it in the Bible. I brought out my own Dissertation from 1992. I reserarched and wrote about her in there. 13 pages. Fun to read what I wrote 29 years ago. I re-read about the 3 women who fled from Jesus' empty tomb also. A good day for me.
My Senior Pastor called to let me know that Alan is being moved to Hospice Care. I cried. I remember some of Alan's sharings with me as a friend. He is a good man and a good servant of God. I pray for his peace and for his wife and the resto of the family.
Will came home at the end of the day. He gave me the goodnews that my Children's Sermon Book is now in the hands of the Amazon publishing. Yay! I pray that it will be good enough for some other people to use in their ministry with the children. I told him Alan's news. I cried again. Will too is very sad about Alan. We remembered that Alan was the one who introduced us to Indian restaurants in town when we first came. He knew India and Indian food are important to us.
We had a good dinner with Piglet and Daivd at Der Dutchman. Their choice. So delicious. I ate too much.
Night came.
Some more video chat with family. They are much much better in health now. Thaks be to God! Will and I watched a Chirstmas movie or rather it watched us till we moved to bed. God is good. I am grateful.
