Comfort food from good friends

As Will recovers from his quadruple bypass surgery his appetite has been not good at all.  On the mark of 3 weeks after surgery, beginning with this chicken breast dish - recipe from one of our newer friends Linn Sholar of Frankfort, KY, he began to eat well.  So I put this recipe in our comfort food list.  I give thanks to God for friends who freely/generously share their recipes.  I am posting this recipe as a way of showing gratitude to God for friends like Linn and Tony Sholar:

Ingredients:
6 pieces of half chicken breast ( each cut in 2 which will make 12 pieces)
1 pound thinly sliced low sodium bacon
2 cups/16 oz Fat free sour cream
1 can Low sodium golden cream of mushroom soup (you may use 2 cans)
1/4 pound of very thin salame or dried beef

Instruction:
In a bowl mix the mushroom soup and cream cheese
Line the bottom of baking dish with dried beef or salame
wrap each chicken breast piecs with bacon and place them in the baking dish
pour the mushroom and sour cream mixture all over the chicken
bake at 300 degree for 3 hours or
bake at 400 degree for 90 minutes
do not cover the baking dish

I serve it with Jasmine rice and green plain green sweet peas.
