Old Friends and new homes

Bridget, my friend of 19 years came to visit us here in Seabrook, our new home. We had much fun and talk and activities. We visited the Space Center and she was thrilled by all that she saw and learned there. She met Ricky Arnold the first astronaut she ever met. She was sailing on cloud 11th I think. It was great to see Bridget giving me a hard time about being out of shape. She brought us very nice dark chocolate chunk which we chissled away and ate at all times. Did I mention that she is a chocoholic? She was the reason I became a chocoholic. On Sunday Bridget came to church twice and attended Sunday school in between. A great Presbyterian she was- for a Catholic. Bridget visited me wherever I lived and never asked where a Catholic church was just as I don't know where Presbyterian churches are in Seattle. That's what good friends are like, I guess. We talked about Berkeley days and her mother and mine and many other subjects. Our mothers died within 13 months time. We remember out loud our priest friend and room mate Walter who was from Belgium. Life is good when you are visited by a true friend who loves you still even when you become 50 pounds more than you used to be. On the other hand, Bridget looks just the same except for a few gray hair. God is good, all the time.
