Life is a journey which we begin at birth. Each of us begin our journey in a particular place and time but we all travel on the road called life which is a gift from God. On this journey each day we learn something/s hopefully including some wisdom which brings us happiness, joy and peace.

Jambalaya?
I ate that last night for supper at BJ's. It's really very tasty. Becky and Jimmy Elmore introduced me to this place.
What is this thing called Jambalaya? It has many ingredients. It has sausage, chicken, and shrimp for protein and fat. For the vegetable department, it has peppers seen and unseen. I know there is the unseen kind because the "can be seen" is green bell pepper and it's not hot but rather sweet. It must have onion and garlic and other spices because my tougue tells me that it tastes them- yummmm. There are chunks of tomatoes. There is rice underneath of all of this. So there was the starch. Oh, there are also chives sprinkled all over as a garnish.
Life is a lot like a great tasting big bowl of Jambalaya. In general it's very Delicious to be alive at all. Life itself is a gift from God. None of us deserve it on our own but only with God's Grace and Love and Forgiveness. God gave life in
abundance. He is so creative that he makes sure we don't have boring lives so he gave us challenges, surprises, predict-ables, forsee-ables, un-forsee-ables, joy, grief, laughter, mysterious events, and the list goes on. All of this we receive from God purely because God Loves us so.
Life is like a delicious bowl of Jambalaya. Full of mysterious and obvious stuff. Only together they make an excellent dish to enjoy. Why the inventer of Jambalaya put all those different tasting ingredients to make a dish, only he/she knew. Why do we have all kinds of events and experiences we have in life, only God - who created us and continues to love us and lead us - knows. The joy is ours just for being created, forgiven, loved and led by our creator, God.
Psalm 24:1
The earth is the Lord's and all that is in it,
the world, and those who live in it;
God does know every creation of His including me and You.
Psalm 37:3-5
"Trust in the Lord, and do good;
so you will live in the land, and
enjoy security.
Take delight in the Lord,
and he will give you the desires of
your heart.
Commit your way to the Lord;
trust in him, and he will act.
