Joshua's birthday

Joshua is now 16 years old.  A big milestone in life according to our family tradition. If my father was living, he will stand up and make a speech on the meaning of being 16.  He is now officially a youth.  We had a great day together.  We played, we ate, we talked, we laugh. Not Not to mention all the cards he received and the shopping of his birthday present.  We went out for lunch and I cooked dinner at home. I thanked God for all the blessings He had given Joshua to this day.  I  and prayed for him and asked God to continue to bless him and guide his feet and lead him in the right path.

Joshua received a long skype call from his aunt and uncle from home in Myanmar.  On the day he was born (12  hours earlier than here) there was a big birthday party at my mother's house for Joshua.  The youth of the Church gathered to celebrate and pray for him.  It was a happy day.  It rained most part of the day.  So, the blessings sent by God to him were also as many as rain drops.  He is blessed by God in uncountable ways.   Those of you who are God's blessings to him, you know who you are.  Thanks to YOU from the bottom of my heart.

Joshua is a joy ever since he was born.  He has always been a joy to all of us.  He certainly is a gift from God.  He was born when my mother was very sick to a point that she was at death's door 16 years ago.  In the midst of it Joshua was born.   As soon as his father put him down next to my mother her eyes lit up like never before.   It was a miracle.  Slowly she started getting better and finally she was well again.  She loved this grandson of her's.  She was so sick that she could not hold him.  Her first goal was to get well enough to hold her grandson.  The two were inseparable till Joshua was almost 6.  I could only imagine how glad my mother's spirit was to see her first grandson turn 16.

James 1:17, " ....every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father".

With all his shortcomings Joshua has been a perfect gift we have received from God.  Thanks be to God for this gift.
