Tomorrow is All Saint Day. That makes today All Saint Sunday which means today in Church during worship we give thanks to God for all the saints that has gone to Him before us. We give special thanks in prayer to God for them, calling each by their christian name.
Today I call out a few names giving thanks to God for their lives that I get to be blessed by: Richard, Thanchuanga, Zakungi, Ngurbiaki, Siamhnuna, Vaivenga, Bryan Evans, David Mooney, Carl Louderback, Mark Jenkins, katie Blair, Barbara Phillips, Don Phillips, Emory Willey, Sydney Hadsell, Vanlalthlana, Kima's father. Thank you Lord for each and every one of these saints, for their lives, their examples of how your child should live, and for the gift that they each were in my life.
Hymn for this day and this coming week:
"For All The Saint"
Presbyterian Hymnal #526
For all the saints who from their labors rest,
who Thee by faith before the world confessed
thy name O Jesus, before ever blest
Alleluia! Alleluia!
Thou wast their rock, their fortress and their might
Thou, Lord, their captain in the well-fought fight;
Thou, in the darkness drear, their one true light
Alleluia! Alleluia!
O blest communion, fellowship divine
We feebly strugge, they in glory shine
Yet all are one in Thee, for all the are thine,
Alleluia! Alleluia!
From earth's wide bounds, from ocean's coast,
Through gates of pearl streams in the countless host
Singing to Father, Son and Holy Ghost
Alleluia! Alleluia!
