Family traditions....

My family have many traditions of our own.
One of them is a having a great family meal before any one travel near or far from home.  There would be a feast fit to feed the king.  We would eat well, talk, laugh and eat some more.  Before the meal my father would pray and thank God for the blessings we each received and will receive from God.  He would thank God for the feast that was before us and asked God to bless it for our nourishment.  He would ask God for His mercy of safe journey for the one or ones traveling soon.  Father would also ask God to bring us together safely again.  Dad always asked God to forgive us from all our sins.  After the prayer we would eat like there is no tomorrow.  We enjoyed the food almost one another's company.  We would laughed and laughed and laughed till our stomachs hurt. We do the same kind of feasting when some one first came home from a journey as well.

For all these years even so very far away from HOME, I manage to carry on that lovely tradition.  We don't always have a feast but there would be a special meal.  This time before Will went on a trip we were too busy for me to cook.  So we went out to 888 for which is Will's favorite Chinese restaurant in the whole of Clear Lake Area.  He ordered one of his favorite dishes "Mango Beef" and I ordered one of my favorites "Tofu, Fish and Veggies in a hot pot".  We shared a dish of baby Bok Choy.  There was so much food and tea.  It was fun and lovely.  Thank God for 888 Chinese Bistro for being such a wonderful place to have an important/meaningful meal.

God is good!
