Yes, today the world is all lit up with the big yellow sun being out and the sky is brightly blue.
In this sunlight we can see better and I do feel better. My mind feels muddy and unclear when the sun is not out and the sky is gray. I love the days like today because it is not only that the sun is out but also the weather is not so hot nor humid yet (even in Texas).
It so happened that today's devotional Psalm Will and I read was Psalm 36. It is so fitting to be reading it this morning especially from verses 5-9. This Psalm needs no explanation or interpretation. The Psalmist wrote it so that it is understandable. Thanks to the Psalmist who wrote is clearly for us to understand.
Psalm 36:5-9
" Your steadfast love, O Lord, extends
to the heavens
your faithfulness to the clouds,
Your righteousness is like the mighty
mountains,
your judgements are like the great
deep;
you save humans and animals alike,
O Lord.
How precious is your steadfast love,
O God!
All people may take refuge in the
shadow of your wings.
They feast on the abundance of your house,
and you give them drink from the
river of your delights.
For with you is the fountain of life;
in your light we see light.
