Then comes- on August 5th arrived my best friend back from India, Hmingtei, her husband Losa and their second daughter Ziri arrived for the first time. We spent a day visiting the NASA and a day in Galveston and Church. Ziri is going to begin her university life at Perdue this fall. So, on the 8th we took off towards east on an american road trip to Purdue, Indiana. Here goes the report of the itinerary I so smartly put together.
Our first stop was in Memphis, TN so they can visit Graceland, the home of late Elvis Presley. And then on to Louisville for a night at Joshua's house. It was so very good to see Joshua, my sister and her husband. And then on to Maryland, Washington D.C, NJ and New York city and then on to Syracuse to see Francis and family and then to the Niagra Falls and all the way back down to Perdue University, Indiana. There we drop Ziri off after setting her up in her apartment and all. It was wonderful to be chattering with Hmingtei all the way around in the back of the van. We chatted like way back in College days. What fun it was! We have been friends since June of 1984. We hit it off when we first met and then we have been close friends ever since then. Now with our husbands and kids and all. We carry on friendship even from each end of the globe for all these years and will be till we die.
All good things do come to an end and then they do come back to you at some point. Life is really good! and God who gives it to us is GREAT!
