Puff the Magic Dragon

I taught this song to my nearly 18 years old nephew, Joshua, the other night and then to Ziri, my niece, on a different night.  I have one of the most out of tune voices but I am a Mizo, I love to sing!  I played it on Joshua's keyboard and he on his guitar. At first I was the only one singing with my really funny again out-of-tune voice.  And then Joshua started singing with his beautiful voice.  He is like his mother, my baby sister L.T., who has a beautiful singing voice.  Somewhat the same process was done with Ziri who too have a lovely voice.  One night I had them both singing with me with Joshua playing guitar.  Why am I writting this??? I have an answer to that.

1. I love this song - I think everyone should know how to sing it.
2. I love to teach children how to sing a new song.  It's been a life-long hobby.
3. I am reminded of how I used to teach my sisters how to sing when we were growing up.
4. This reminds me of my childhood home where there was music most of the time.

God gives us voices to sing.  So, we should use them.  It is a plus that musical instruments are here to be played as well.  I give thanks to God for our voices with which to sing and for the songs - including the silly ones like "Puff the Magic Dragon".  God is GREAT! Life is good for knowing that.
