Universal Call to Worship

¹ Praise the Lord, all you nations!
   Extol him, all you peoples!
² For great is his steadfast love towards us,
   and the faithfulness of the Lord endures for ever.
Praise the Lord!

My allergies woke me up at 4:38 A.M this morning.  Some thing new and beautiful must be blooming in this area as it is the spring time.  As I was droning water my mind begins to sing a Taize song, " Sing praises all you peoples, sing praises to the Lord, Sing praises all you people sing praises to the Lord" I am singing it over and over and over.  How wonderful it is to be woken up by terrible allergies yet singing such a wonderful song.  God is good all the time.  

Now I am sitting here and reflecting yesterday. It was full of God's Grace and presence.  Skyping with family back in Myanmar to staff meetings to a new and wise friends visit to looking at houses to having pizza with a dear friend and her young son.  A day full of God's grace. I am blessed. 

So at the end, my allergies are not not my misery but instead an early moring call to worship the Lord.  God does work in mysterious ways!

Prayer: Kind and loving God, I praise you for a slow pace day full of your blessings and grace. I see, I feel and I experence your faithfulness today.  I know your steadfast love indures forever.  For all of these I give you thanks. In Jesus' name. Amen.
