Life is a journey which we begin at birth. Each of us begin our journey in a particular place and time but we all travel on the road called life which is a gift from God. On this journey each day we learn something/s hopefully including some wisdom which brings us happiness, joy and peace.

Holy Week: Life's surprises
Holy Monday:
It was filled with staff meeting and I had the honor of burying a friend at the military cemetery.
Holy Tuesday:
Again it was full of work and home to a very sick husband. Will was in pain and we did not get much sleep.
Holy Wednesday:
In the morning around 4:00 A.M I found Will in tremendrous pain, I thought he was dying I had never seen him like this before. Just before 5:00 A.M. I took him to the ER of SMH. After taking Will home I went to work arriving just before 1 P.M. Work till 9 P.M. And then found him very sick in pain again at home. We had not much sleep.
Holy Thursday:
I took Will back to ER morning. They had put a Lasix catheter on him which he is allergic to. Poor man. They took it out and send him home again with me. After feeding us a very late lunch and a short nap I went to Church for Maundy Thursday service. Came home at 8:30 p.m and discovered that he had taken himself to another ER. This time to the Doctor's Hospital. Good move. I went there and found him being treated. Brought him home after a side trip to the drug store. He was uncomfortable. We did not get much sleep.
Good Friday:
My office is closed. Thank God. We left the house at 9:00 A.M. I drove Will to h is noon time service in Naples. We came home having a drive through Wendy's lunch on the way home. Rest for a bit and time to go to my own Church to be there by 5:00 P.M. A moving service. Left Will at home to rest. I returned around 8:30 P.M and cooked dinner for us both. We ate. Not goodnight sleep again. Poor man. .... and his wife. A little sleep but not enough.
Holy Saturday:
Up early because Will did not and could not sleep. We got dressed and went to visit my 5 members in 4 rehabs. I took Will along because it is easier to keep watch of him near me. He took his sermon resources with him and work on his Easter sermon while I was visiting with my church membrer at each stop. We stopped at Walt's Fish Market to eat. One thing we could do in this holy week right- eat fish. Right? Wrong. He was so uncomfortable - we ate quickly and left with a pound of fresh shrip I bought for supper. Oh, yes I had to stop at teh bakery hopping that they have sweet bread for me to take to church tomorrow. Nope. They had one loaf of coffee cake. Home resting at last by 5:30 P.M. At 7:00 P.M. I cooked the shrimp and we ate. Get ready for the Easter Sunday.
Off to bed by 10:30 P.M very early for us indeed. A good friend Marlene offered to drive Will down tomorrow morning to Naples for his 3 services leaving our home at 4:45 A.M. Thank you God for Marlene.
Life is full of a different kind of surprises this Holy week. I did not have time to sit and meditate as I did in the years past.
