Life is a journey which we begin at birth. Each of us begin our journey in a particular place and time but we all travel on the road called life which is a gift from God. On this journey each day we learn something/s hopefully including some wisdom which brings us happiness, joy and peace.

Memorable points of this part of the journey
Will and I were the last ones getting on the inter-terminal bus at Newark, NJ airport. Two young men who look like College age stood up giving me their seats. Yes, there are many well mannered and polite American youth than the media and news like us to think. I felt very grateful for these young men. I thank God for their mothers who taught them well.
As we walked around into the big mall with Elizabeth our grand daughter of 23 moths old, people talked to us, and we talked to them. Yes, there are more friendly people in this country. I have met such people all over the country.
On Sunday we went to Church, I held Elizabeth all through the service with papers and a pen to draw with. She made no sound except during the hymns. During hymns I asked her to sing a long and she did. At the end of a prayer I asked her, " can you say Amen?" so she did. My dad always said that if you believe in the children to behave and pray to God before worship for them, they do behave. He was right.
When Elizabeth was misbehaving at home her parents gave her a time out and asked her, " are you going to be good now?" she said, "No". So she stayed in 'time out' until she could say "Yes". They have taught her to be very honest. It works.
There are many good things in our lives. Let's remember them.
