Life is a journey which we begin at birth. Each of us begin our journey in a particular place and time but we all travel on the road called life which is a gift from God. On this journey each day we learn something/s hopefully including some wisdom which brings us happiness, joy and peace.

Monday after Christmas
It is a day of reorganizing and cleaning at home. I did the reorganizing, Joshua did the cleaning (dusting and vacumming). It's been a relaxing morning. We ate left-overs in the form of fried rice for lunch. We chatted and planned the afternoon to be at the movies. We will be seeing "Sherlock Holmes." It was very exciting to see my own 15-year-old nephew is interested in the same thing. We may see some more movies before he leaves us for Louisville.
It's been great that I have full time to pay attention to Joshua. This is the first time I have been able to pay full attention to him since he was born. God does work in mysterious ways, because of my work I had never been able to pay full attention to this child I love so much. Now that I am free from work we enjoy every hour of each day together. It has been joy filled time.
Every day, blessings come to us from God in many different forms. It is up to us to see them or to ignore them. This gift of free time has indeed been a mysterious gift from God. I love it, enjoy it and value it.
The year is coming to an end. it will become our past very soon with all it's blessings, challenges and events intact. I am reflecting on my life in 2009. I am grateful for each day of it. I am grateful for all the new people I met this year. I am grateful for my mother who shared only 3 days of this year with us on this side of life. I am thankful that she is now happy at home with God reunited with father and Richard. I am thankful for the gift of time to rest. I am thankful that Will and I were able to go home to be with family. I am thankful to God for all of this and more.
