What a lovely day it has been.  My day off. Staying at home with husband. It is 2:35 PM I finally showered.  I love days like this now and then.  I made Asian Celery Soup and warmed up leftover Artic Char for lunch. We both had it and loved it.

I am remembering my wonderful visit with my dear friend and parishioner Cherrie yesterday afternoon.  She has been home due to health complications. I had not seen her since before Christmas.  I took a dozen of bright pink roses ( her favorite color), a box of cookies,  a box of europen biscuites, a crunchy cheesy dried bread and a box of 4 cans of sparkling water.  I opened everything and we picniced in her living room.

We talked about life, family, gardening, food, friends, and about Shepherding Deacons, we ate, we drank the sparkling water, we laughed and giggled and ate some more... One hour went by so very quickly and I said, I have to go back to work. She said, "Yeah. Right. You have to go back to work" with a big smile.  We hugged, she walked me to my car. We hugged again. We looked into each others faces and smiled and giggled. We said, " I love you" to one another.

My feet felt light. My heart filled with feeling loved. My mind clearer. My tireness went away. My day got all refreshed for the next 5 hours of work I had.   I was the visiting pastor but she ministered to my entire self, my mind, my body and my soul.  Sherrie was my Morrie like in "Tuesdays with Morrie."

Sometimes some people asked me why I do what I do for a living. This is a part of my answer.  I love days like that. God is with me. God is with Cherrie. God is with you. God is with all of us at all the time. I love life.
