World Cup Football, Christmas, Joshua and my mother

It is going on right now. I enjoy watching it. This reminds me of World Cup Football 1994. It was in June 17-July 17 in the U.SA. During which Joshua was born on July 7th. I went home from Wilmington, DE to greet him arriving on July 15th. We had mother's house full of people always. During the days there were people to greet Joshua and me at nights they were there to watch the World Cup games on mother's big screen Sony. Time difference being 11 hours caused us to watch the games at night instead of sleeping. Every day and every thing was a happy chaos. After World Cup was over Kanu (mother) asked me what I missed most and liked to have since I had not been home for 7 years. I said "Christmas". So we had a marvelous traditional Christmas in July at my mother's house. There were our house full of people singing carols, feasting, praying worshipping, telling tales and laughing. Christmas in the middle of monsoon season was very different. It was great! Psalm 117 says: "Praise the Lord, all you nations! Extol him, all you peoples! For great is his steadfast love toward us, and the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever. Praise the Lord". We did just that in my mother's house that summer.
