This November I sat most mornings and after noons at my sister Lt's living room looking out into the trees filled with leave in the colors of Yellow, brown, green and red. Most of them are bright yellow. Almost the whole front of the house is glass windows which makes the beauty of the fall panoramic view. This afternoon I look out and see that the leaves are falling off of the trees in the sun light like God is showering the earth with the rain of gold leaves. The beautiful leaves dance on the their way down to the ground and they are most beautiful. God is in deed creative and artistic! For the last 3 Novembers I looked out through a wall of glass into the little lake our house was on in Seabrook, TX. It was beautiful but not like this. I did see pretty birds and fishing boats gliding quietly on the water. I also enjoyed friendship of a few friends there.
Today I am thankful to God for this joyful feeling. I feel that God has been spoiling me with this happy feeling. As I sat on my favorite spot looking out like a happy puppy, at the same time I chat with my cousin in Bangalore India, my old College friend in Kuala Lampur, Malaysia and my nephew in Aizawl, India. Life is really good! and when I am bored I got up and paint a door or a cabinet door in my sister's house or cook, or eat, or drink coffee/tea and so on and so forth. At this very same time my husband Will is in Houston,TX being helped by our dear dear friends Kendra Oglesbee and Don Eadie getting ready for the movers who are coming tomorrow.
Oh, yes, we are moving back to Louisville from Texas as Will began his new call as an Interim Pastor at South Frankfort Presbyterian Church in Frankfort, Kentucky. Will began on Nov. 8th the day my parents got married. Will and the congregation seem to like each other very well so far. Will as he spent the first 17 years of his carrier as a pastor wants to end his service as a pastor. God is gracious and gave him a call as a pastor. So, that does make me a pastor's wife for the first time in my life. Now that's another entry for anther time.
Today I sat here being aware of God's goodness and blessings in our lives, I am very grateful. Old friends take turns going out to lunch with me almost every day catching up the last 3 years of lost time is another great blessing. Thanksgiving is coming soon and I am already filled with thankfulness to God in my heart. God is not only good but Great and all the time.
Here is not a very good picture of the gorgeous view.
