I love Halloween. We don't have it back at home in Myanmar. When I first arrived to this country as an international student I remember being so surprised by almost never seeing people come out of their houses or going into their houses. All doors were locked and I did not see neighbors taking to each other much. It was somewhat strange and lonely. Then came Halloween evening! children of all sizes dressed in costumes going around house to house to house. Every door seemed to be opened cheerfully by the ones who live in the houses. I saw people smiling, handing out or receiving candies, talking with one another, laughing and welcoming of each other. So, I fell in love with that evening. My american room mate told me that it's was an annual holiday. I was so excited! The whole world seem to become alive here in the U.S. on the night of Halloween. I simply love it.
Then came "All Saints Day" the next day on November 1st. I love all saints day too. It is such a joyful thing to remember all the saints who had gone before us to be with God. I thank God for all the saints. I thank God for Halloween. I thank God for loving all of us even me.
