Shepherding Deaons' first Quarterly meeting: Saturday

It is.  I am so very excited that I am going to be at the very first quarterly Shepherding Deacons meeting at the Church.  87 people RSVP to attend.  How exciting! This was not in existance up until late April ( a few months ago) at this Church.  Church members caring for one another.  Jesus said, "Love one another as I have loved you".  In deed these wonderful followers of Christ are living the very commandment of our Lord.  I give thanks to God for each and every one of them and I am thankful to them as well.  I am filled with gratitute towards all those who helped in the process of this new careing ministry and all those who are still helping it maintained.

I am going to use Ps. 113 for the devotion.  I can't wait!

Psalm 13

Prayer for Deliverance from Enemies

To the leader. A Psalm of David.
1 How long, O Lord? Will you forget me for ever?
   How long will you hide your face from me?
2 How long must I bear pain in my soul,
   and have sorrow in my heart all day long?
How long shall my enemy be exalted over me?

3 Consider and answer me, O Lord my God!
   Give light to my eyes, or I will sleep the sleep of death,
4 and my enemy will say, ‘I have prevailed’;
   my foes will rejoice because I am shaken.

5 But I trusted in your steadfast love;
   my heart shall rejoice in your salvation.
6 I will sing to the Lor
   because he has dealt bountifully with me.

Yes, the people are singing to the Lord because he has dealt with them bountifully through the caring ministry of the shepherding deacons.
