As planned no workers came to the house. It was full of peace and quiet especially after Will left for work. I spent lots of time taking naps, praying to God, meditating and reading the Psalms. I did not sleep well last night. This day had been a gift of ,time to be silent. Every day for 10 days I spent each day anticipating the workers to come in to work at creating our new kitchen and they did not show up, or they came and worked. Peace for me is knowing what prcisely will happen each day and having it happened, including cancellations. I am full of compassion for the people who own the, " All in One Kitchen" company. They rely on the sub contractors while some subcontractors are not respectful of them and simply would , not show up to work - whenever. I also did some more house cleaning and organizing the new cabinets. Did a load of laundry. I packed my suitcast for tomorrow's travel. So exciting to get to visit my baby sister LT in Louvisville and meet her boyfriend for the first time. Will and I had not seen LT for 2 years due to Covid. We will get to see our niece Ziri in Chicago as well. So very exciting! We have not travelled since the summer of 2019. It has been a long time. I do love our home which I now call my "Hermitage." This afternoon I looked out and saw about 8' ong Aligator glidding over the little pond's water. I saw black birds, a family of Sanhill Cranes came by our pool. They even stopped and looked at me. I wonder if they could be mother, father and Richard in disguise coming by to check on me. My heart was glad to see them, regardless. Some texting back and forth with my young friend Danny who lives in Paris. He has been inviting us to visit. We want to go there. Will it be possible now though it had not been possible. Of course the regular daily video chat with family. So fun. Will, came home in the evening and we had to go out to eat as we have no kitchen. We went to Chinese buffet nearby. So delicious! soup and green vegetables and all. Home again after that. We did final packing. Fell asleep infront of our TV as we do everynight. God is really good and I am eternally thankful.
