God does work in mysterious ways. On Wednesday I had an awful afternoon. Thursday I got recharged in silence. After I worte my entry on Thursday I studied and practice what and how I was going to do my presentation to the Presbyterian Women at their kick off session for the next program year.
I received an couraging and comforting note from God via my friend Don in League City, TX. I felt a whole lot better. My embarassment went away.
Back to yesterday with the Presbyterian Women (PW):
It was on Exodus chapter 1 and 2. All about migration and how God was leading the Hebrews from femine to Egypt and out of salavery in Egype to the promised land. I was invited to give an introduction for the whole year's Bibel Study and give the first lesson. The whole fellowship hall was full of my fellow Presbyterian women, many are my mother's age, some are younger than me. The holy spirit filled the room and we were joyful. God was good. We discussed on how God made an impact on our journey of life migrating from place to another. We learn about Joseph and Moses and the mid wives and Moses' own mother and sister and pharos's daughter, and how God worked through all of them.
I came away feeling light on my feet and in my heart. Joy filled my being.
When I returned to my office a mesage from an older saint who is at home under hospice care inviting me for a visit with communion. I asked one of the elder ladies Pat who was at the PW kick off to come with me. So, Pat and I went to serve communion at home to this lady and her daughter visiting from afar. We talked and laughed on the subjects of the church, health, health care, death, dying and funeral, and favorite hymns and favorite Bibe passages and we shared communion in rememberance of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Chrsit.
Pat and I went to the home of Dutch a Stephen Ministry Leader who gave me 2 glasses of iced tea to drink which refreshed me so. Duch is getting ready to move to a new home. We played for half an hour till my husband Will picked me up and we went to visit another friend who is sick with cancer at home till after 6:00 P.M. We prayed for Paul with our hands on him. God was with us.
On we went to Bankok- thai restaurant to eat fish and noodles and vegetables. We drove home at the end of the evening in the Sarasota monsoon. Lighting, thunder and rain falling cats and dogs all in the black sky.
Life is good again. I am no longer embraced. God is GREAT! Today I give thanks to God for sending Don so that I could have yesterday as wonderful as it was all day. I thank God for Don, my big brother Don. And thank you Don.
